There has been much debate on education and whether it is worth paying for private schooling and it is a subject that I follow with much interest across the board, such as state education, the top tier of private schools and the Best English language schools.
I was lucky enough to gain a scholarship to a private school many years ago, one where the emphasis was firmly on classics and learning. There was a strong sense of discipline instilled in us and the pupils worked hard almost without exception, which resulted in excellent exam passes across the school and a high entrance rate for Oxbridge.
Having had my fees paid for me, I feel privileged that I was able to attend such a school, but would I pay the fees for a son or daughter of mine? (more...)
